- This worksheet is an edited version of the Assembly instructions,
but with those bits we don't need removed.

It will tell you where to solder up the following bits.
But,  Beware of short circuits on the underside:

See it fixed below:

  1. Battery-snap connector  step 15
connect to the + and - pins here:
    Red + Black -

  2. Power Diode  D1 (not in assembly instructions)

Make sure the White bar on the diode is at the correct end.

  3. On-off switch  S1
Add the miniature 3 pin slide switch used to switch the robot on and
off – Yours may look slightly different to the one I have used.

  4. Push button   S2   (4-way switch S4 is not needed here)
  5. Ceramic disc capacitor c1

It should be connected the right way round,
+ is at the end marked "C1" in the photo above

  6. 74LS86N Chip  step 4
Make sure the chip is the right way round.

The U-shaped depression in the case should be nearest
to the ceramic capacitor already fitted

  7. The LED and its resistor steps 13 and 14

    The resistor is 150 ohm,
and the LED has its Flat side towards the resistor

  8. Motor Driver  step 12

  9. Arduino Nano Socket steps 3 and 6
This comes in two 15-hole sections

  10. Pins for Motors and sensor. step 8
A pair of pins go in the two holes marked M1 and M2
    one for each motor

And the 9 pins from 3V3 to A2 (including 5V)

  11. The serial (bluetooth) socket step 9
This requires modification of the circuitry underneath.
